The RISE of CANAAN Protest Village, Saturday June 8, 2013, Today committees of South West Bank Popular Committee together with Israeli activists gathered with the intention to build Canaan protest village for the third time, the first and second were in February 2013. At 11:00 we all left the assembly point and went to the designated location at the colonial road connecting the Illegal Gosh Ezion colonial block and the occupied Palestinian land in 1948. Once we arrived to the location, many israeli occupation military jeeps arrived to the area and directly attacked us using stun grenades and attacked us physically trying to terrorise us and to prevent us from constructing our tents. But we continued constructing our tents, once the first tent was erected, they directly attacked us again, demolished and stole the tent. Three people were injured including Younes Arar (coordinator of south West Bank Popular Committee, Yousef Abu Maria (coordinator of Beit Ommar Popular Movement) and Mahmoud Ala Eddin (coordinator of Masara Popular Committee), in addition to arresting three Israeli activists including Kobi, Na'omi and Sahar who were released later, and burnt huge tracts of Palestinian land in the area. Participants chanted slogans including, free free Palestine, ending Israeli occupation, free prisoners, our land is our right, BDS, end freedom of movement restrictions, and to dismantle military checkpoints, among many other human rights and justice slogans. South West Bank Committee promised the Palestinians and Israeli occupation that our next protest village will be constructed inside one of the Illegal Israeli occupation colonies.

La montée de CANAAN Protest Village, Samedi 8 Juin 2013, les comités Aujourd'hui de l'Ouest Comité du Sud Banque Populaire avec des militants israéliens se sont réunis avec l'intention de construire Canaan village de protestation pour la troisième fois, le premier et le second était en Février 2013. A 11h00 nous avons laissé tout le point de rassemblement et nous sommes allés à l'endroit désigné sur la route coloniale reliant le bloc colonial illégal Bon sang de Etsion et le territoire palestinien occupé en 1948. Une fois que nous sommes arrivés à la situation, de nombreuses jeeps de l'armée d'occupation israélienne est arrivée dans la région et directement attaqués nous en utilisant des grenades assourdissantes et attaqué physiquement nous essayer de nous terroriser et de nous empêcher de construire nos tentes. Mais nous avons continué à construire nos tentes, une fois que la première tente a été érigée, ils nous ont attaqués directement encore, démolies et ont volé la tente. Trois personnes ont été blessées dont Younes Arar (coordinateur du Comité Populaire du Sud Cisjordanie, Yousef Abu Maria (coordinateur de Beit Ommar Mouvement Populaire) et Mahmoud Ala Eddin (coordinateur du Comité Populaire Masara), en plus de l'arrestation de trois militants israéliens, y compris Kobi, Na «omi et Sahar qui ont été libérés plus tard, et d'immenses étendues brûlées de la terre palestinienne dans la région. participants ont scandé des slogans tels que, sans libérer la Palestine, mettant fin à l'occupation israélienne, la libération des prisonniers, notre terre est notre droit, BDS, fin la liberté de restrictions de mouvement, et à démanteler les barrages militaires, parmi beaucoup d'autres droits de l'homme et les slogans de justice.
